People with Chronic Pain, that is invisible to others, are often treated as though they are faking their pain (sometimes even by their doctors). However, in reality they are faking being well just to function every day (and if they can, hold a job).

In the process of making the designs and website for disabilityshirts.com for my daughter Sammi as a 2nd job, I was working so much (sometimes from after dinner till 7 am in the morning) that I developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Cubital Tunnel Syndrome in both of my arms. After that, it was very painful just to go to my regular job and work. I had to go into to work everyday even though I was in extreme pain and do my best to pretend everything was ok. Finally after about 1 year I was able to get the majority of the pain under control somewhat, but my arms are still very messed up and prone to pain if my I use them too much. During that year of extreme pain everyday I felt like some of the nurses and doctors I went through didn't believe me about how severe my chronic pain was, and it made it so much harder.

This t-shirt feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for both men and women.
